The John K. Branner Fellowship is a prize for international travel and research award offered annually to Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) students, awarded by the University of California, Berkeley, the College of Environmental Design. The 12-month fellowship, which starts in December, is to be used before or during the students' final year in the M.Arch. program. Student explores a particular architectural question or issue that may later be expanded as a thesis. Upon returning from their travels, Branner Fellows present their findings to the CED community in the form of a lecture and exhibition during the Architecture Spring Semester Lecture Series.
