Hongcheon RoyalPine Resort

Fairway Type 1 : FISSURE

Terrace Type

Mountain Type

Hongcheon RoyalPine Resort is a unit design strategy for Hongcheon RoyalPine Resort, developed around the relationship between sloped terrain, privacy, view, and resort living. The project does not treat each unit as an isolated villa, but as a terrain-adaptive residential system that responds to different site conditions across the resort.

The design begins with three core strategies: separating public and private areas, maximizing views toward the fairway and landscape, and creating flexible spaces that can be selectively connected or divided according to user behavior. Living, dining, and kitchen areas are planned as open public zones, while bedrooms and bathrooms are clearly separated to secure individual privacy. Outdoor spaces such as terraces, courtyards, sunken gardens, jacuzzis, and saunas are inserted into the units to bring light, view, and relaxation deeper into the plan.

The proposal develops multiple unit types, including Fairway Type, Terrace Type, Mountain Type, and Vista Type. Each type responds differently to topography: the Fairway Type opens horizontally toward the golf course, the Terrace Type steps with the slope to create layered outdoor spaces, and the Mountain and Vista Types negotiate steeper terrain through vertical organization and elevated views. Through these variations, the project transforms the resort site into a layered landscape of private retreats, panoramic views, and terrain-integrated living.
