Soft Tectonics is an architectural experiment exploring the relationship between digital design and physical fabrication through the elastic deformation of flexible sheets.
Extending the repetition and assembly of independent components in the W:AVE, it proposes a fabrication methodology that integrates material behavior with form-finding.
Flexible sheets bend under external forces and connection conditions, forming shape and structure at once.
The deformation and joining of individual components establish the geometric order of the whole, revealing new constructive possibilities where material and computation interact.
Soft Tectonics understands form not as a predetermined outcome but as the interplay of material, structure, and fabrication, investigating a flexible, adaptive architecture shaped by digital and material integration.
